As a benefit for our patients and others wanting to learn about in vitro fertilization (IVF) here at The Center, we provide free informative programs that are open to the public. The programs are part of a continuing series led by our experts in the field of reproductive endocrinology, Dr. John Nulsen, Dr. Claudio Benadiva, Dr. David Schmidt, Dr. Lawrence Engmann or Dr. Andrea DiLuigi. These Information Sessions will include an in-depth explanation of the IVF process including a discussion on emotional issues by our program psychologist, Mary Casey Jacob, Ph.D. They run from 6pm to 8:30pm and refreshments are provided. Directions
Sessions are held in the Main Building, at John Dempsey Hospital, part of
The University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington.
From West Hartford Center
Follow Farmington Avenue West. After the Talcott Plaza intersection, turn
left at the next light into the Health Center entrance.
From Farmington Center
Follow Farmington East. After taking the loop at the I-84 entrance, continue
about one mile and turn right into the Health Center entrance.
From I-84 East or West
Take Exit 39. Turn right at the end of the ramp onto Farmington Avenue East.
Continue about one mile to the Health Center entrance on the right.
Directions to the IVF Informational Lecture
Upon entering the Health Center from Farmington Avenue (Route 4), go through the blinking red light and bear right at the fork, follow the signs for the Academic Entrance. Continue until you come to a stop sign, take this left proceeding to the cobble stone pavement then take a right into the AB parking lot on your right. (The gate will be opened after 4:30pm.) Proceed straight until you arrive at the end of the parking lot, park. Follow the stairs into the entrance, turn right and the lecture room will be the first door on your right, EG-013.
