Our ultimate goal here at The Center is to help maximize patients' chances of becoming pregnant. While that involves providing the highest quality of medical care, it also involves advising patients on the best course of care for their particular situation. A significant part of our care focuses on fertility counseling and guidance on making the best decisions for treatment. We believe in providing couples with honest and realistic information that helps them to form their own decisions and expectations.

First, we start by advising couples on steps to take to optimize their chances for conception... things like fertile times of the month, ovulation detection and lifestyle changes that can affect fertility.

Then, we inform couples about all of their alternatives for treatment. We explain what the different options can offer them and provide objective data on success rates with and without various treatments.

Lastly, and perhaps most important, we always make ourselves available to help our patients. We can help the decision making process and objectively let you know when we feel it is time to move on to other treatments or, if necessary, stop treatment. We are also available to help provide guidance on ethical issues such as donor sperm and eggs and multi-fetal reduction.

We also make available to our patients the services of our highly trained psychologist, Mary Casey Jacob, Ph.D., who has more than 12 years of experience in helping patients cope with the stresses of infertility and better deal with emotional, ethical and legal issues.
